Raffle guide

How the equal-chance raffle picker works

Every row gets the same chance to win. Add each person once, then let the tool pick one name at random.

  1. Add or paste the names

Enter one name per row or paste a single column directly from Excel or Google Sheets.

  2. Check each chance to win

Each name counts once. Two people get 50% each. Four people get 25% each. Use Hide odds if needed.

  3. Set the countdown and draw

Choose 1 to 60 seconds. Press Draw winner, check the names, then press Draw winner again.

How does this stay fair?

Every row gets one chance. The browser picks one row at random, so every entered name has the same chance.

Common questions

Raffle picker FAQ

What does equal chance mean?

Every row has the same probability. If there are 25 entries, each row has a 1-in-25 chance, or 4%.

Do duplicate names get extra chances?

Yes. Each row is a separate entry, even when two rows contain the same name. Remove duplicates if each person should be eligible only once.

Can I paste a list of names from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Copy one column of names from Excel or Google Sheets and paste it into the first name cell. A Name header is ignored automatically.

Can the same person win again if I select Draw again?

Yes. Draw again makes a fresh selection from the same list. Return to the entries and remove the previous winner if they should no longer be eligible.

Are the names saved anywhere?

The list stays in your browser and is never uploaded. It is not saved by default. You can turn on Save on this device or download a backup file.
