How the no-repeat schedule works
The round-robin circle method keeps one position fixed and rotates the others after each round. That guarantees no person appears twice in one round and no pair appears twice in the schedule. With an odd number of names, an empty position rotates as a bye.

How do you make pairs without repeats?
The generator uses the circle method: it rotates the list after every round so each possible combination appears only once. It also checks duplicate names before generating.
What happens with an odd number of people?
One person receives a bye in each round. Across a complete schedule, the bye rotates so every person receives exactly one.
How many unique pairing rounds are possible?
For an even group of n people, the maximum is n minus 1 rounds. For an odd group, the maximum is n rounds because each round includes one bye.
Are names uploaded or saved?
Pair generation happens entirely in your browser and names are never uploaded. They are not saved by default. Turn on Remember on this device to keep an on-device copy, or download a local JSON backup.
